Five-Year School Development Plan (SDP), 24 pages
Description:
“Worldview education” is not a subject, such as algebra, nor a particular school curriculum. Worldview is a term that in essence means, ‘a set of beliefs about the most important issues in life.’
It is this ‘set of beliefs,’ biblically understood and biblically taught, that makes a Christian school a ’Worldview Christian school.’ It governs not only the content that is taught, but also the manner in which teaching is accomplished and the personal worldviews of the teachers in each classroom, K-12.
Achieving this requires a well thought-out plan which provides a consistent philosophy of education in operation from classroom to classroom, from grade to grade. The Five-Year School Development Plan (SDP) provides such a plan for the Christian school.
The SDP includes a year-by-year scope and sequence for worldview instruction and assessment in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12. Four versions of the PEERS Test are included as well as seven unique worldview training materials for use by students, faculty and parents. Also included is a listing of several ‘Worldview Christian Schools’ with contact information, as a valuable resource of those who have successfully made it happen.
A five-year goal is included with year-by-year milestones established. Adoption of the SDP provides discount pricing for all materials used.
